Senior DevOps engineer

New York/Chicago/Detroit

Base to $200k depending upon experience

Our consulting client was co-founded by Google Cloud Engineering leaders and is backed by a leading US investment firm. With a focus on GCP strategy and implementation, they work with brand name FTSE 100 clients. 

Due to a brand new client win in the Financial Services sector, we are now looking for someone to join a growing team focused on building Generative AI applications for document summarization, classification, question and answering using unstructured data. The team works with companies of all sizes from startups to Fortune 100. You will develop applications on Google Cloud, work with customers to understand their requirements, suggest new ideas and features to the team to further improve the product and implement the new functionalities with a passion for quality.

In this role, you will be joining a growing team focused on building Gen AI applications for document summarisation, classification, question and answering using unstructured data. The team works with companies of all sizes from startups to Fortune 100.

You will develop applications on Google Cloud, work with customers to understand their requirements, suggest new ideas and features to the team to further improve the product and implement the new functionalities with a passion for quality. You will work with your team to design, document, implement, test and support the build, deployment and configuration management systems that abstract and automate the code to deployment workflow for application development teams building microservices to be deployed on GCP. You will provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations. Work directly with Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering and SRE teams to set goals, design and implement solutions in support of modern engineering culture, processes and systems, increase developer productivity, code velocity and quality.

• Hands-on experience
• Google Cloud, IAM, Networking, Observability, gcloud SDK, GCS etc

• Python, Java, Javascript or other languages
• CI/CD automation and orchestration (Jenkins, Cloud Build, Tekton, Spinnaker)
• Infrastructure /Systems logging and monitoring (New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Infrastructure actuation /automation (Ansible or similar)
• Public cloud eg GCP, AWS and key platforms k8s, VMs
